I went to see another doctor at Ashford Hospital last Saturday for an update. As of now, my referral is still in progress for an admission date. However, based on the doctor’s analysis, there is now an infection causing persistent swelling of the scrotal tissue, and the spermatic cord on the left side is severely inflamed. The doctor has advised that another referral has been sent to UCLH to expedite the procedure within the next six weeks, as I am now considered a priority through the NHS.
The recovery will be quite extensive, as it will involve a full skin graft in one go—a 10-hour procedure. Recovery is expected to take around six months. I will be setting up a small GoFundMe post to help cover the cost of antibiotics and first-aid supplies. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
On another note, content has been slow due to this issue. I’m really sorry for the lack of posts, but I’d rather not gross you guys out until the swelling goes down. I’ll make sure to keep everyone updated on my progress.
