Today I had to make a hard decision to take my dog for the big nap. He had been sick since Christmas and getting worse 😔 after I found a lump in his throat last night and him unable to stand or walk I knew it was time. My sweet boy is gone. My vet was amazing and he's no longer suffering. I've had dogs in my life for 18yrs (from the same bloodline and family) and he was my last and I think its safe to say I won't be getting any more. I was going to make some content today but I've spent a good part of the morning upset because my senior dog has been sick and doesn't seem to be improving and today he won't eat at all. 🥲 Hes had reflux issues that have been increasing and coughing since the flu came into my house and my vet has done a lot of things for him over the phone and helped with medications but now hes just no longer interested in food and if i cant get him to eat I cant give him his insulin (hes been a diabetic since the age of 5).
